To Be Well-versed in First Aid
With the first aid (FA) as its main activity, the Red Cross Society of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS) conducts a wide range of activities to disseminate FA knowledge and skills among the wider public on the occasion of the World First Aid Day (WFAD).
This year as well, the DPRK RCS conducted a variety of activities to train RC volunteers and youth members in FA knowledge and skills through such training formats as refresher training, tele-lectures and simulation exercises on the occasion of the WFAD.
With the special focus on increasing the FA knowledge of those volunteers in FA posts, efforts were directed to improving the quality of their FA service activities for the population.
In addition, FA training was arranged for RC youth members so that they could play a significant role in disseminating FA knowledge.
The activities conducted by the national society on WFAD served as a good opportunity to train RC volunteers and youth members to be well-versed in FA.
