First Stage of Life-Saving – First Aid

First aid (FA) is the primary aid that can save and recover the people who suddenly got ill or injured before the help of medical professors arrive them.

FA is mostly given by non-health workers in the field.

According to data, most people could survive natural disasters and accidents thanks to the help of local residents who were on the spot of accident.

FA methods include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bandaging, recovery position, transfer and others that can save people whose life is in danger due to critical causes such as loss of consciousness, bleeding, bruising, burns etc.

What is important in administering FA is to provide psychological first aid to the patient or the injured person.

Everyone should make active efforts to learn FA methods, which are essential for life saving.
